Vietnam is Korea's third largest export market and fourth largest trading partner, making it an important partner in the New Southern Policy. As the importance of economic cooperation in the small and medium-sized venture business sector between the two countries grows, this meeting was arranged to discuss practical collaboration measures.
Chairman Kim Hak-do requested Vietnam's interest and support to expand the entry of promising Korean small and medium ventures into the Vietnamese market, promote technology exchange cooperation, and activate policy exchanges, expressing expectations for the role of the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea as a bridge between Korea and Vietnam.
This year, SBC plans to support the entry of promising Korean Wave consumer goods into the Vietnamese market through ▲ operation of the online B2B platform 'Gobiz Korea' ▲ collaboration with Vietnam's VTVcab to create a dedicated Korean Wave product pavilion in Hanoi. Additionally, based on the Korea-Vietnam Technology Exchange Center, they plan to hold technology exchange consultations to induce research and development innovation and achievement creation for small and medium enterprises in both countries. Last year, through the Korea-Vietnam technology exchange consultation, they achieved technology contracts worth $650,000.
