KB Kookmin Bank-POSTECH Sign Agreement to Establish Digital Innovation Research Center
Aiming to Provide Customers with New Value and Experiences Using the Latest Academic Technologies
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 14th that it has signed a business agreement with Pohang University of Science and Technology (hereinafter POSTECH) to establish a Digital Innovation Research Center.
Through this agreement, KB Kookmin Bank and POSTECH will conduct joint research for the development of digital financial products and services. The research areas include ▲Artificial Intelligence (AI) ▲Big Data ▲Blockchain ▲Cloud ▲Augmented Reality (AR)·Virtual Reality (VR) ▲Architecture, Security, and more. The goal is to provide customers with new value and experiences by utilizing the latest technologies from academia.
KB Kookmin Bank and POSTECH plan to promote collaborative projects and build a research network through the exchange of scientific and technological capabilities and practical experience related to digital finance. To this end, professors and experts from POSTECH’s AI, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and Information and Communication departments will participate, and personnel exchanges with KB Kookmin Bank employees will be conducted to promote joint programs for digital financial innovation.
