Samsung Electronics Suwon and Giheung Cafeterias to Be Operated by Shinsegae and Pulmuone
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Samsung Electronics announced on the 13th that Shinsegae Food and Pulmuone Food & Culture were selected as operators in a competitive bidding process for external catering companies conducted for two in-house cafeterias.
In February, Samsung Electronics announced a public bid for two in-house cafeterias located at the Suwon and Giheung campuses. About 20 companies participated in this bid, which proceeded through three stages: ▲a presentation evaluating menu composition and services ▲an on-site inspection checking the company's infrastructure and hygiene ▲and a food tasting session with employees.
Samsung Electronics explained that the finally selected Shinsegae Food and Pulmuone Food & Culture will complete employment succession and business handover over about one and a half months and start operations from June 1.
