On the 12th, the province announced that it distributed a total of over 70,000 KF94 protective masks, 10 masks per person, to more than 7,000 individual and corporate taxi operators in the province.
This mask distribution aims to protect passengers and transportation workers who have to stay together for long periods in confined indoor spaces.
On the same day, a delivery ceremony was held at the Jeonnam Individual Taxi Transportation Business Association office (Chairman Yeo Geunha) in Muan, where mask-wearing promotional stickers to be attached to taxis and COVID-19 prevention guidelines for taxi drivers and passengers were also provided.
Chairman Yeo said, “We will actively follow the COVID-19 prevention guidelines,” adding, “We will always keep masks inside taxis to prevent issues of drivers and passengers not wearing masks.”
