[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Kim Kwangjin, Youth Secretary of the Blue House Presidential Secretariat, has taken a 'communication' step by publicly sharing all his personal information, including his phone number and email address.
Kim, who was the youngest member of the 19th National Assembly, wrote on his Facebook on the 12th, "I had a long conversation with someone who found it difficult to contact me but managed to find my contact information because they had something to say," adding, "Neither of us could come up with a clear answer."
He continued, "After hanging up, I spent a lot of time reflecting," and added, "I thought it wouldn't be hard to find my contact information since I have shared it several times, but I am sharing it once again."
Kim disclosed all his personal information, including his email, KakaoTalk messenger ID, and phone number. He also requested, "Since I am often in meetings and cannot answer calls immediately, please leave a text message, and I will call back."
He emphasized, "If anyone has anything they want to talk about, please let me know."
Meanwhile, according to the Central Election Commission on the 9th, exit polls for the April 7 Seoul mayoral by-election showed that the ruling party was significantly behind the opposition in the 20s youth vote.
Among voters in their 20s, 55.3% supported Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, while Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party candidate and former Minister of SMEs and Startups, received only 34.1% of the vote.
In particular, the vote share among male voters in their 20s was 22.2% for Park Young-sun and 72.5% for Oh Se-hoon, a difference of more than three times.
Women in their 20s showed a narrow lead for Park Young-sun with 44% compared to 40.9% for Oh Se-hoon. However, considering that the support rate for the United Future Party (now People Power Party) among women in their 20s was only 25.1% in the 21st general election, it indicates that the 20s female voter base is also experiencing a loss of support.
