Heo Young, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, told reporters after the Emergency Response Committee meeting held at the National Assembly that day, "The Supreme Council members, originally planned to be elected by the Central Committee, will now be elected at the extraordinary party convention on the 2nd of next month." Heo added, "The matter will be submitted to the next Party Affairs Committee for final approval."
