On the afternoon of the 8th, Mayor Oh visited the COVID-19 vaccination center set up inside Seongdong District Office to inspect the site. Afterwards, he told reporters, "I promised to show you a proficient performance from day one, and I will work hard to meet those expectations."
Regarding his last morning schedule, a visit to the Seoul Metropolitan Council, he said, "I was worried because there isn’t much that can be done without active cooperation, but after meeting with the council leadership, I felt much relieved. The council leaders promised active cooperation. I have a good feeling and intuition about this. My hope that the situation is not completely blocked has grown, and my mind feels lighter."
He also shared his thoughts after the election confirmation. He said, "At the moment of winning, I was overwhelmed with pressure and worries about how to manage relations with the council and how to work with the 25 autonomous districts. But after visiting the council, I felt reassured and started my work energetically."
Meanwhile, Mayor Oh greeted the Seongdong District Mayor and the Seoul National University Hospital Director, received a briefing on the vaccination center status, and then visited the vaccine storage room where he was given explanations about the storage, aliquoting, and thawing processes of the Pfizer vaccine.
