At the camp disbandment ceremony that day, former Minister Park said, "The most important thing is the re-creation of the administration next year. Only then can we protect democracy in the Republic of Korea."
She said, "For the sake of future generations of Korea, I believe that what happened in the 2007 presidential election must never happen again next year," and emphasized, "I am lacking and have many things to change. I will change. The Democratic Party must become a Democratic Party with a bigger embrace and achieve re-creation of the administration."
Former Minister Park said, "There were many things during the election period, but I am grateful that we did not give up hope until the end. Everything is due to the candidate's shortcomings," and added, "Those present here did their best until the end. I felt my shortcomings a lot during the election and reflected on them moment by moment."
She continued, "We cannot kneel before lies, can we? I have been gathering my mind for a week not to cry. I ask you all to do the same," and said, "Let's meet again at Gwanghwamun on March 9 next year."
