Park Hyung-jun: "Public sentiment has firmly expressed its stance on the administration's failures"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] On the 7th, Park Hyung-jun, the People Power Party candidate for Busan mayor, said immediately after seeing the broadcast exit poll results, "The counting has not yet started, so I am cautious, but I feel that public sentiment is formidable," adding, "I think this election above all expresses the public's firm stance against the current administration's mismanagement."
He continued, "The citizens encouraged us to fight well in this election. I believe the public sentiment felt on the ground is reflected in the exit polls. I will take it as a whip to do well. I will watch the counting until the end and speak again."
According to the broadcast exit poll results for the Busan mayoral by-election, Park Hyung-jun of the People Power Party received 64.0%, and Kim Young-choon of the Democratic Party of Korea received 33.0%.
On the 7th, the three major broadcasters (KBS, MBC, SBS) announced the exit poll results for the Seoul and Busan mayoral by-elections conducted by KEP (Korea Election Pool), an organization under the Korea Broadcasting Association. The survey was conducted by three research institutions: Ipsos, Korea Research International, and Hankook Research.
