One additional case of thrombosis diagnosed after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine has been reported in South Korea. This is the third reported case in the country.
The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (hereafter referred to as the Promotion Team) announced on the 7th, "Among the severe cases reported on the 5th, one case has been diagnosed with thrombosis and is currently under investigation."

The person diagnosed with thrombosis after vaccination is a woman in her 20s working at a medical institution. She received the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine on the 17th of last month, and symptoms appeared 12 days later, on the 29th of the same month, leading to a report to the authorities. The Promotion Team is currently investigating whether this woman has any underlying medical conditions.
