Hancom and Sejong University Establish Aerospace Research Institute... Establish Joint Research System
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Hancom Group is establishing an Aerospace Research Institute in collaboration with Sejong University to secure technology and talent in the drone and aerospace fields.
On the 6th, Hancom Group and Sejong University signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement at Sejong University for "Joint Research and Talent Development in Drones and Aerospace." The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Sangcheol, Chairman of Hancom Group, and Bae Deokhyo, President of Sejong University, among others.
Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to establish the "Sejong-Hancom Aerospace Research Institute" as a hub for industry-academia cooperation, promoting the exchange of new technologies and joint research and development in the drone and aerospace fields, training experts and exchanging research personnel, and building a joint research system for autonomous unmanned mobility.
Hancom Group also signed a business cooperation agreement with Hancom Inspace, a space and drone specialized company, Sejong University Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation, and the Sejong-Hancom Aerospace Research Institute, pledging continuous support for the operation and development of the research institute.
Hancom Inspace will also advance the unmanned drone operation system "DroneSet" by utilizing the "ArduPilot-based Autopilot programming technology," an automated drone control technology developed by Professor Hong Seongkyung of Sejong University.
