Woori Card Donates Companion Trees and Wildfire Relief Funds in Commemoration of Arbor Day
Through the '2050 Woori Card ESG Green Declaration Ceremony,' employees nurtured donated companion trees for over a month before gifting them.
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Woori Card announced on the 6th that it donated companion trees and sponsorship funds to the eco-friendly social enterprise 'Tree Planet' for the restoration of areas affected by wildfires in celebration of Arbor Day.
The companion trees were planted in pots made from plastic waste, and the saplings were nurtured over about a month by employees who attended the '2050 Woori Card ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Green Declaration Ceremony' held on the 5th of last month, reaffirming their strong commitment to green finance.
A Woori Card official stated, "We will continue to take the lead in eco-friendly management to create a safe environment for future generations."
