The world ranking of 'Texas Boy' Jordan Spieth (USA) jumped 15 spots from 53rd last week. He received 2.85 points in the weekly official golf world ranking announced on the afternoon of the 5th (Korean time). He accumulated points by winning the PGA Tour Valero Texas Open (total prize money $7.7 million) held at San Antonio Golf Club (par 72) in Texas, USA, which ended that morning. This is his 12th career win, the first in 3 years and 9 months since winning The Open in July 2017.

Spieth held the No. 1 position for an impressive 26 weeks from August 2015 to March 2016. After dropping as low as 92nd in the world rankings, he has recently started to rebound, including one win and five top-10 finishes in the last seven tournaments. The 'Top 5' remain unchanged with Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas (both USA), Jon Rahm (Spain), Collin Morikawa, and 'Hulk' Bryson DeChambeau (both USA).
