Yangju City Launches 'Pan-Citizen Promotion Committee' for Provincial Public Institution Attraction

On this day, Deputy Mayor Jo Hak-su, the representative committee members, and officials from related departments explained the background and current status of the third relocation of public institutions in Gyeonggi Province, and pledged cooperation in promotional activities for the successful attraction of three key institutions: Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation, and Gyeonggi Research Institute.
Then, Kim Yong-chun, chairman of the Saemaeul Movement Yangju Branch, was elected as the promotion committee chairman and was awarded a certificate of appointment.
The 'Pan-Citizen Promotion Committee' consists of a total of 100 members, including local community leaders and citizens who wish for the attraction of the third relocated public institutions. It plays a role in expanding the public institution attraction activities led by the government into the private sector and spreading citizens' voluntary participation in promotional activities.
In addition, it plans to carry out various attraction events such as the ongoing online and offline signature campaigns, online certification shot campaigns, and citizen empathy relay promotional activities for public institution attraction since last month, as well as distinctive attraction campaigns by social organizations.
Promotion Committee Chairman Kim Yong-chun said, "Based on the citizens' strength that successfully attracted the Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation last year, we will do our best to achieve good results this time as well."
Deputy Mayor Jo Hak-su said, "Starting with the formation of the promotion committee, we will do our utmost to attract public institutions in Gyeonggi Province, which will act as future growth engines for Yangju City."
Meanwhile, Yangju City has formed a dedicated task force (T/F) for attracting public institutions, led by Deputy Mayor Jo, in accordance with the third relocation plan of public institutions in Gyeonggi Province, focusing on attracting the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation, and Gyeonggi Research Institute.
