Mayor Kim Soo-young took over the nomination from Mayor Park Jung-hyun of Daedeok-gu and joined the pledge to create a 'Korea that is good for having and raising children,' nominating Mayor Choi Young-wook of Dong-gu, Busan, and Mayor Lee Sung-moon of Yeonje-gu, Busan, as the next participants in the relay.

This challenge began last February in Chungcheongnam-do as a public participation campaign under the slogan 'Let's Overcome Low Birthrate Together!' aiming to overcome the national crisis caused by low birthrate through solidarity and cooperation.
