View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim So-young] Lee Jun-seok, head of the New Media Headquarters of the People Power Party's election countermeasures committee, raised doubts about the testimony of the owner of the 'Saengtaetang restaurant' who claimed that candidate Oh Se-hoon of the People Power Party for Seoul mayor had visited, in relation to the dispute over the land survey in Naegok-dong.
On the 5th, Lee posted on his Facebook, citing the testimony of witnesses and pointing out those who changed their statements.
He quoted the testimony of Mr. Hwang, the owner of the Saengtaetang restaurant, who said, "When he came to the restaurant, he didn't enter immediately but stood under the garden pine tree for a while before going in, probably to see if there were customers inside," and said, "He was wearing white pants, a white top, and sunglasses (photo), something like that. How should we combine this with the claim that he tried not to be noticed?"
He added, "Even if you dress like this at Nowon Station, you would attract attention. If you walk around like this in the countryside..." emphasizing again that it is hard to see this as an outfit intended to avoid attention.
He also mentioned a previous testimony, saying, "Of course, four days before giving that testimony, he said, 'The workers were just working. How could they remember that? Even if he had said, "I am Oh Se-hoon," and greeted them, he just came to eat and left. Would the employees remember?'"
In relation to this, on the same day in the morning, Mr. A, the son of the Saengtaetang restaurant owner, appeared on TBS Radio's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory' and repeatedly emphasized that his testimony was true.
He said, "I feel quite upset seeing the People Power Party side say things like 'It's Saengtaetang. They are being stubborn. Your mother changed her story.' I just told what happened, but my mother was attacked, so she got angry and came out for another interview."
He continued, "The issue became prominent because I mentioned the brand by name," and explained, "(Oh candidate's Ferragamo) was a bit bigger than mine in the shape of the horseshoe. I thought that was okay, and since he has a long lower body, I found him quite attractive."
Regarding the change in the witness testimony about candidate Oh, he said, "The reporters called me about 20 times each, so I just said I didn't know to stop the calls. I was so tired, and people around me told me not to take such calls at all."
Mr. A emphasized, "Mr. Kim, the cultivator, brought candidate Oh and asked me to take good care of him, so I carefully served the food. Then he told me again that he brought a big guest. A few days later, he said three times that he brought candidate Oh as a big guest. The fourth time, I lost my temper. I said, 'You have to bring many guests to be a big guest, what kind of big guest is this?' Because I lost my temper the fourth time, I remember it more clearly. There is absolutely no confusion with anyone else."
