According to the Gwangju Regional Veterans Office on the 2nd, the association held a memorial service at the Memorial Tower located in Gwangju Park and carried out cleaning activities on the Memorial Tower and the spirit tablet enshrinement facility, with about 30 members including the branch chief and members from five sub-branches attending the day before.
Branch Chief Lee Yeonsan stated, “Memorial facilities are important places that widely promote the noble spirit of those who sacrificed and devoted themselves for the country,” and added, “We will continue our guardian activities so that the memorial facilities can be widely used as experiential sites to spread the culture of honoring veterans.”
