Seogwipo Coast Guard Holds Tree Planting Event with Trainees
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Seogwipo Maritime Police Station announced on the 2nd that it held a 'Tree Planting Event with Trainees' to commemorate the 76th Arbor Day.
At this event, 12 trainees undergoing field training at the station participated in environmental cleanup activities such as removing weeds, tidying flower beds, and picking up surrounding trash, and planted saplings mainly in the open spaces along the nearby walking trails.
This was done to provide a resting place where citizens taking a walk could relax for a moment.
Additionally, the 30 saplings used in this event, including Sanddal (Ardisia crenata), Baerong (Crape myrtle), and Dajeongkeumnamu (Aucuba japonica), were supported and provided by the Jeju Provincial Government.
