Shinhan Bank Provides Management Consulting for Small Business Owners in Seoul

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi]Shinhan Bank announced on the 2nd that it will operate the ‘Shinhan SOHO Academy’ in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Small Business Support Center to strengthen the business capabilities of small business owners in Seoul who are struggling due to COVID-19.
The ‘Shinhan SOHO Academy’ is a leading financial sector small business owner capability enhancement program that provides marketing and branding education through assignments and practical exercises, along with operational know-how from senior small business owners. To date, it has produced 14 cohorts and 392 graduates.
This training will be conducted online over eight weeks until May 21, adhering to the government’s COVID-19 prevention guidelines. The Seoul Metropolitan Government's Small Business Support Center, which provides startup preparation and customized consulting to 650,000 small business owners in Seoul, is responsible for program promotion, candidate recommendation, and recruitment, while Shinhan Bank conducts the training.

A Shinhan Bank official stated, “We are working with the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Small Business Support Center to help small business owners in Seoul who have been struggling for a long time due to COVID-19 to resolve management difficulties,” adding, “We plan to expand the training to regions outside Seoul in the future.”
