Chosun University 'K-Move School' Achieves 100% Employment Rate for 2 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Chosun University announced on the 2nd that its overseas employment training project, ‘Chosun University K-Move School,’ operated with the support of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea and Gwangju Metropolitan City, has achieved a 100% employment rate for two consecutive years.
K-Move School is a project aimed at providing young people who wish to seek jobs abroad with tailored training courses that match job demand, enhancing their job skills and language abilities, offering opportunities for overseas practical experience, and linking to overseas employment such as in the United States after completion.
The K-Move School training course operated by Chosun University involves approximately six months of training education (language, job training, etc.), after which interviews are conducted with pre-secured overseas employers to decide on overseas employment.
Afterward, trainees can gain more than one year of job experience in various locations across the United States, and depending on the trainee’s capabilities, conversion to full-time employment is possible.
Qualifications by course are as follows: students in business-related fields are employed in office jobs related to their majors such as business administration, marketing, and accounting, while engineering students are employed in quality control fields.
Chosun University has achieved the employment of 73 students in the United States over the past five years.
Last year, all students participating in the 4th term succeeded in finding employment.
Chosun University is recognized for operating systematically and efficiently by hiring dedicated staff to provide counseling and management for trainees.
Park Ye-seul, a graduate of the Computer Engineering Department who found employment last year, said, “Thanks to the school’s K-Move operation, I was able to receive various training and, not only prepare for employment but also focus on living in the U.S. due to continuous counseling and local follow-up management.” She added, “I hope there will be more programs allowing overseas employment in various countries so that juniors can become global talents.”
This year’s employed student, Lee Sang-jun (Department of English Education), explained, “It is a program that provides internship opportunities in the U.S. to young people full of challenging spirit and strengthens their capabilities through job and English classes before departure.”
