[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Airport Railroad is operating the 'Automatic Cooling Control System,' which is the first in Korea to measure congestion inside trains and automatically control the cabin temperature.
According to Airport Railroad on the 2nd, the system calculates congestion based on the pressure values of air springs installed under the train cars, and when the number of passengers increases and congestion rises, it lowers the set temperature by about 1 to 2℃ to operate.
Since the set temperature is automatically adjusted according to congestion without separate operation, passengers can use the train more coolly and comfortably.
Additionally, the driver can immediately check the congestion of each cabin from the driver's cabin, enabling quick responses such as operating the blower when necessary.
Previously, the cooling device operated when there was a difference between the cabin temperature and the set temperature through two temperature sensors installed in each car. Going forward, with the introduction of the automatic cooling control system, cabin temperature can be monitored doubly, greatly reducing discomfort when using trains in summer.
