Gangbuk-gu Collects COVID-19 Vaccine Consent Forms from Seniors Aged 75 and Older
Elderly Aged 75 and Over Must Submit Vaccine Consent Form to Dong Community Center by 6th... Vaccination Starts April 15, Individual Schedule Notified... Vaccination Center Set Up at Gangbuk Culture and Arts Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) is collecting consent forms for COVID-19 vaccination from elderly residents aged 75 and older living in the area.
The vaccination target includes residents born on or before December 31, 1946, who are registered and currently residing in the district. These elderly individuals will receive two doses of the Pfizer vaccine at a three-week interval, but not all are eligible for this round.
According to government guidelines, they must be able to travel on foot or by vehicle. Those with mobility difficulties or who have trouble expressing themselves when filling out the preliminary questionnaire are excluded. The same applies if there is a high risk of worsening underlying conditions when going out. The vaccination method and schedule for these individuals will be announced separately in the future.
To receive the vaccination, they must visit the local community service center by the 6th (a legal representative may visit) and submit the ‘Vaccine Consent and Personal Information Use Agreement.’ If visiting the center is difficult, public officials or neighborhood leaders will visit the household to collect the consent form.
Those who consent will receive the vaccine sequentially starting from the 15th at the ‘Gangbuk COVID-19 Vaccination Center.’ However, the vaccination date varies individually.
Detailed schedules will be notified via the mobile phone of the individual or their guardian. If the assigned date is inconvenient, they can check available times at the local community service center and reschedule. An ID must be brought when going to the vaccination center.
The district has established a plan to operate shuttle buses between key local areas and the vaccination center for elderly individuals who have difficulty moving on their own or lack a guardian.
Previously, a vaccination center was set up on the first floor of the Gangbuk Culture and Arts Center (85 Samgaksan-ro).
