T'way Air Conducts Joint Safety Inspection... Strengthening Industrial Safety Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] T'way Air announced on the 31st that it conducted a joint safety and health inspection at Gimpo Airport to ensure worker safety and prevent the occurrence of safety hazards in advance.
The joint safety and health inspection, conducted together by T'way Air and its partner companies, is carried out every quarter as part of proactive safety and health management amid strengthened responsibilities for corporate safety management and subcontracted projects under the Enforcement Rules of the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
During the inspection, representatives, general managers, safety managers, and workers from T'way Air and three partner companies responsible for ground handling, cabin cleaning, and cabin disinfection formed a joint inspection team to closely examine each work site located within Gimpo Airport.
The main inspection items included ▲ inspection and emergency measures before and after using towing cars ▲ safety accident prevention activities during baggage handling ▲ training status and protective gear wearing conditions ▲ communication procedures during operations ▲ risks and countermeasures for high-altitude work, all conducted based on a checklist. The inspection concluded with discussions on corrective actions and improvements.
T'way Air regularly conducts such safety inspections to determine whether work site procedures are properly managed according to the standards specified in the Industrial Safety and Health Act, identify potential risk factors in advance, and establish improvement measures accordingly.
