A Drunk Man Causes Disturbance on Subway... 30s Arrested for Assaulting Train Operator
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 30s who caused a disturbance on a subway train and even struck the train operator has been booked.
Seoul Dongjak Police Station announced on the 30th that they have booked and are investigating a man in his 30s, Mr. A, without detention on charges of assault.
According to the police, Mr. A caused a disturbance while intoxicated on Line 2 subway heading from Sillim Station to Sindebang Station around 6 a.m. that day.
When the train operator, who responded to a passenger report, asked Mr. A to get off, Mr. A reportedly struck the operator's face multiple times.
The operator's injuries were not severe, but the disturbance caused a delay in subway operation of about three minutes.
