Thinkware Launches Taxi-Exclusive 'iNavi MXI' Equipped with Cloud Maps

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Thinkware announced on the 30th that it will newly release the taxi-exclusive navigation device ‘iNavi MXI’.

According to Thinkware, the ‘iNavi MXI’ is an 8-inch navigation device equipped with the cloud-based new map platform ‘iNavi Where’ as standard.

‘iNavi Where’ features a highly advanced UI (user interface) that enables more intuitive route guidance and delivery of surrounding information. It is connected via communication methods such as LTE and smartphone tethering, providing real-time traffic information and route guidance. Additionally, it supports searching for nearby convenience facilities, real-time monitoring through highway and route CCTV, as well as wireless map update functions.

Furthermore, when a separate communication dongle is installed, the Naver AI platform ‘Clova’ can also be used. It supports various functions through voice-based interaction, such as searching for destinations, nearby facilities, weather, and real-time traffic conditions by road via voice commands. Thinkware explained that it also separately supports integration with necessary apps for taxi operation, including app meters, vacant light indicators, and taxi display lights.

A Thinkware representative stated, “The ‘iNavi MXI’ is a product that enhances convenience by integrating essential functions needed during taxi operation, such as a communication-based real-time route guidance map platform, app meter, and vacant light integration,” adding, “It will also be a product that can increase user satisfaction by supporting a highly expandable Android operating system to prevent inconvenience during long hours of use.”
