Gwangju Buk-gu, Smart Living Lab Support Project Contest for Daily Life
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 30th that it will hold a contest for the ‘Smart Living Lab Support Project in Daily Life,’ which seeks solutions to urban problems using smart technology.
A living lab is a new methodology for solving social problems, meaning a ‘living laboratory.’
Buk-gu plans to designate the entire region as an experimental subject, supporting residents to independently identify daily life problems and apply digital technology to verify solutions.
The contest topics are ▲ discovering tasks to bridge the digital divide and developing services ▲ research and development of urban problem-solving services using digital technology, covering two fields.
Any entrepreneur or resident located in Buk-gu with ideas can participate, and if selected, they will receive project funding within the budget to carry out the tasks until the end of this year.
After the project period ends, Buk-gu plans to hold a sharing session to spread the final results throughout the district and intends to utilize the items as ICT national government project proposals.
Residents or organizations wishing to participate can refer to the Buk-gu Office website and apply to the Civil Economy Division by the 13th of next month.
