Gangnam District Resident A Can Apply for Civil Complaints Without Visiting the District Office... Why?
In May, the mobile 'The Gangnam' app enables paperless smart administrative services... From civil complaints to welfare benefit applications... Residents can apply for various civil services with a single touch without visiting the district office... Simplifying civil service like opening bank accounts and signing insurance contracts
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) will introduce a paperless smart administrative service called ‘Anywhere Civil Service’ in May, becoming the first nationwide to adopt electronic contract methods in all civil administration fields.
This service is a ‘visiting administrative service’ that allows users to fill out civil application forms anytime and anywhere through an app. Residents can apply for various civil services with just one touch without having to visit the district office in person.
Civil affairs can now be handled as easily as opening a bank account or signing an insurance contract.
Civil applicants can apply for ‘Anywhere Civil Service’ through the ‘The Gangnam’ app, and once the processing completion notification appears, they can visit the district office to collect certificates. Welfare benefits can also be applied for. Since the responsible public officials can discover eligible recipients and process applications simultaneously, it is expected to resolve welfare blind spots through prompt on-site support.
The district office has already completed the introduction of the Glosign electronic contract solution and is currently preparing to implement the service. The district office highlighted that this service has the same legal effect as paper contracts, preventing forgery and supporting non-face-to-face work.
