View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (County Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong) announced on the 29th that from the 27th of last month to the 18th of next month, for 23 days, it has organized a comprehensive countermeasure team consisting of 6 divisions and 11 teams to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among spring visitors, deploying over 1,500 personnel for special quarantine activities at tourist sites, including traffic control, street vendor crackdowns, and COVID-19 disinfection, concentrating all administrative efforts.
The county is promoting a drive-thru method allowing spring visitors to pass through the 100-ri Cherry Blossom Road, controlling traffic by closing parking lots and prohibiting parking and stopping around the Wangin Park historic site, and for tourist site disinfection, it has secured 60 million KRW in national funds and operates 38 dedicated personnel to guide tourists on proper mask-wearing and other living quarantine rules, activating a special quarantine system for tourist sites.
Additionally, a countermeasure team has been formed for street vendor crackdowns, environmental cleanup, and facility management, striving to create a safe and clean "Tourism Yeongam" environment. Various methods are being fully mobilized for tourist site quarantine, including deployment of safety and security personnel and control staff, operation of disinfection vehicles, insurance enrollment for safety accident preparedness, installation of traffic cones in habitual congestion areas, and placement of signboards and banners.
