On the 28th, during a campaign held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Oh stated, "I will engage in politics that I can be proud of and stand confidently in front of young people."
At the campaign venue that day, citizens in their 20s preparing for employment and those in their 30s running businesses came onto the stage to express their support for Oh. They emphasized that Oh is a "mayor with real work experience" and criticized Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party candidate, for her remark about the "lack of historical experience among people in their 20s." They also described this Seoul mayoral by-election as "a starting point for a mid-term evaluation of President Moon Jae-in's administration."
After listening to their remarks, Oh said, "Our 2030 youth are formidable. Compared to when we were in our 20s and 30s, they are truly smart. It seems they understand the world thoroughly," adding, "I will engage in politics that I can be proud of and stand confidently in front of young people."
Along with this, Oh mentioned a recent poll showing that his approval rating among people in their 20s is about three times higher than that of candidate Park. He said, "My approval rating among people in their 20s was in the 60% range," and expressed, "I am truly grateful to the young people." Oh added, "The politics that young people really want to see is politics of unity and harmony," and said, "Representative Ahn Cheol-soo of the People’s Party and I will successfully co-manage Seoul City and create a model case."
