According to Chosun University on the 28th, Gwangju patient number 2202, classified as a confirmed case related to the coin karaoke room, was identified as a Chosun University dormitory student during the epidemiological investigation on the 26th.
It was found that he had contact with Gwangju patient number 2200, a user of the coin karaoke room located in Dong-gu, where a chain infection recently occurred.
As the quarantine authorities conducted comprehensive testing on the contacts of Gwangju 2202, all tested negative.
The testing subjects included about 60 students who shared the same floor in the dormitory with Gwangju 2202.
These dormitory students have currently entered self-quarantine after receiving negative test results.
Students with family in other cities or provinces were isolated in single rooms within the dormitory.
COVID-19 testing for dormitory students on other floors was left to voluntary choice.
