View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] It has been revealed that the president of a well-known card company made inappropriate remarks during a meeting with executives.
On the 26th, KBS obtained and released a transcript containing the president's remarks, reporting, "(The president) made shocking and inappropriate comments at an official meeting," based on a tip received.
According to the report, during a meeting in February last year, the president said, "No matter how pretty a woman is, I don't know if you can enjoy a day with her, but if you say you will be with this woman for life, would you live with such a woman? No, you wouldn't," adding, "What I mean is that choosing a card is like choosing a 'wife,' not a 'girlfriend.'"
His remarks also included statements such as, "When you get a woman, for example, when you go to a room salon or somewhere else, the goal is just one," and "Pretty women have a set price. If you sit next to one today, it costs about 200,000 won, or a certain amount per hour, the charge is exact."
The meeting reportedly included at least 15 executives and managers from HR, marketing, and business support departments, and there were no female department heads present.
The president apologized shortly after, saying, "Sorry to the room salon," but another allegation arose that he frequently made problematic remarks.
An employee of the card company stated in an interview, "There were instances of cursing over the phone, sending text message bombs, or verbally abusing and threatening face-to-face."
Another transcript captured him using abusive language such as, "You xx. I'm going to kill you all."
