[Breaking] Nongshim Founder Chairman Shin Chun-ho Passes Away at Age 92
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Shin Chun-ho, the founder of Nongshim, passed away on the 27th at the age of 92.
Nongshim announced that Shin passed away at 3:38 a.m. that day due to an illness.
Shin was born on December 1, 1930, in Ulsan. He was the brother of the late Shin Kyuk-ho, the founder and honorary chairman of Lotte Group.
Shin founded Nongshim in 1965 and developed beloved products such as Shin Ramyun, Chapagetti, and Shrimp Crackers. Shin Ramyun is exported to over 100 countries worldwide and is recognized as a diplomatic representative of Korean food.
