Appointment of the 2nd Association President
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] KT announced on the 26th that Kim Hyung-wook, Vice President and Head of the Future Value Promotion Office (photo), has been appointed as the chairman of the Korea Digital Health Industry Association (KoDHIA).
On the same day, KoDHIA held its 4th regular general meeting at the JW Marriott Hotel in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and appointed Kim Hyung-wook, Vice President of KT, as the 2nd chairman of the association.
KoDHIA is a non-profit corporation approved by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for the first time in the digital health sector, which is attracting attention as an advanced convergence new industry. It aims to revitalize the data-driven digital health industry by promoting related policy and legal system improvements, standardization and certification projects, infrastructure establishment, and dissemination projects.

Kim Hyung-wook, the new chairman of KoDHIA, stated, “At this moment when the medical MyData ecosystem is emerging, it is important for domestic digital health companies to cooperate and secure global competitiveness,” and added, “As the chairman company of the association, KT will take the lead in revitalizing the digital health industry by proposing systems and consulting with related government departments.”
