On the 24th, the Hadong Office of Education imposed disciplinary measures on three middle school students who abused their roommates in the cram school dormitory, including a 5-day suspension, a written apology, special education for the offenders, and special education for their guardians.
The victim was a 6th-grade elementary school student at the time and is now a first-year middle school student. Among the three perpetrators, two are seniors of the victim, and one is a classmate.
They were investigated for hitting the victim's face and head and pinching her body throughout February, allegedly because she used foul language.
The perpetrators forcibly put a toothbrush sprayed with shampoo into the victim's mouth and grabbed her hair to dunk her head into the toilet.
The victim could not endure the abuse and left the dormitory, after which the perpetrators flooded the victim's Facebook with posts full of insults.
The victim's parents filed a complaint with the police, stating that the disciplinary measures by the Hadong Office of Education were too lenient.
The police are currently investigating the perpetrators.
