Bucheon-si Enrolls All Citizens in Safety Insurance... Up to 10 Million KRW Payout
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it has renewed the 'Citizen Safety Insurance,' which provides up to 10 million KRW in insurance benefits to citizens who suffer damages from natural disasters, fires, collapses, and other safety accidents.
This insurance automatically covers all citizens registered in Bucheon City (including registered foreigners). If a citizen experiences damage covered by the insurance items, they can receive insurance benefits from the Korea Local Finance Association (hereafter referred to as the Association), with which Bucheon City has a mutual aid agreement.
The coverage includes 10 items such as ▲death from natural disasters ▲accidents involving explosions, fires, or collapses ▲accidents while using public transportation ▲robbery incidents ▲traffic accidents within school zones ▲gas accidents, among others.
