Targeting the 'Self-Interior Tribe'... Hyundai L&C Unveils Cut-and-Stick Tile Products
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Hyundai L&C is expanding its lineup of 'self-interior building materials' products that allow anyone to easily decorate indoor spaces.
Hyundai L&C, a comprehensive building materials company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 24th that it will expand its DIY (Do It Yourself) interior building materials products such as Bodak tiles and Shiwum tiles.
Bodak tiles are adhesive finishing materials that can decorate the walls of indoor spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. They can be easily cut with a knife or scissors and stuck like stickers regardless of the existing wall surface such as tiles or wallpaper. They feature epoxy coating for excellent waterproofing and durability. New patterns and colors such as Big Brick Dark Gray and Hexa Mono White have been applied.
Shiwum tiles are DIY flooring materials that can be cut with a knife or scissors and stuck like stickers. They are highly durable, resistant to stains and scratches, and also have antibacterial functions. The four representative products feature colors and patterns that replicate the characteristics of natural materials, such as 'Ginger,' which resembles real wood, and 'Classic Marble,' which has a luxurious marble feel.
These DIY interior products do not use any phthalate-based plasticizers classified as environmental hormones. They do not contain six major heavy metal harmful substances such as cadmium, mercury, and lead, making them safe to use not only at home but also in childcare facilities.
Hyundai L&C sells more than 50 types of DIY interior building materials products, including Bodak tiles and Shiwum tiles, through online malls and other channels.

A Hyundai L&C official said, "We have launched the 2021 model new products targeting self-interior enthusiasts who decorate their homes according to their personality," adding, "We plan to continuously expand the number of DIY interior product items."
