Hello Nature "Eco-friendly 'The Green Delivery' Usage Increases by 50%"
Reusable Insulated Bags Used in The Green Delivery, Eco-Friendly Shipping with Reduced Packaging
Subscribers Doubled Year-on-Year, Over 95% Continue Using the Service 'Popular'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] HelloNature announced on the 23rd that the number of uses of its eco-friendly delivery service, 'The Green Delivery,' increased by more than 50% compared to the previous year in the first quarter of this year.
The Green Delivery is an eco-friendly delivery service that HelloNature first introduced in April 2019 to address the excessive packaging problem in existing online distribution. It delivers room temperature, refrigerated, and frozen products all at once in a reusable insulated bag called The Green Box. The Green Box is used for delivery, then collected and cleaned upon the next order for reuse, significantly reducing unnecessary packaging materials. It features a zipper type rather than tape, making disassembly and storage easy.
According to HelloNature's own consumer survey results, The Green Delivery received favorable reviews in terms of eco-friendly satisfaction and ease of use. More than 95% of users continue to maintain their subscription to the service. Unlike the past when convenience was the main focus, consumer awareness of waste, which has explosively increased since COVID-19, is also changing. According to a survey conducted last month by the Korea Consumer Agency targeting dawn delivery service users, 'excessive packaging' was identified as the area most in need of improvement.
HelloNature stated, "We are conducting 'The Green Delivery Recommendation Event' to provide customers with eco-friendly consumption benefits," adding, "After the event started, the number of daily recommended customers reached up to 1,000, showing a positive response. Subsequently, the number of new subscribers to The Green Delivery service nearly doubled compared to the previous year." Existing Green Delivery customers who recommend the service to new customers receive 5,000 won in 'HelloCash,' which can be used like cash at HelloNature, and new subscribers receive benefits worth 10,000 won on their first Green Delivery order.
HelloNature plans to operate this event continuously without a set end date as part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to enable more customers to practice eco-friendly consumption activities.
