Two Pfizer Vaccine Doses Scheduled at Vaccination Center (Geochang-gun Indoor Gymnasium) from April to June
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it will begin COVID-19 vaccination for seniors aged 75 and older starting in April.
This vaccination will be carried out in accordance with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's announcement of the COVID-19 vaccination implementation plan for the second quarter.
The vaccination targets all seniors born on or before December 31, 1946, who have their residence registered in Geochang-gun. The target group will receive two doses of the Pfizer vaccine at three-week intervals.
Applications for vaccination can be submitted by the seniors aged 75 and older themselves by signing and stamping a consent form and submitting it to the local town or township office of their residence. Vaccination applications can also be made if a legal representative or guardian (a person who is legally obligated to support or who actually protects the elderly due to work, employment, or other relationships) signs or submits the form.
Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang-gun, said, “We are thoroughly preparing all aspects of the vaccination process, including consent form collection, transportation plans, quarantine measures, and post-vaccination monitoring, so that seniors can receive the vaccine without inconvenience. We also ask seniors aged 75 and older for their active cooperation in filling out the consent forms.”
