Utilization of the 'Corona Dongseon Ansim-i App' in On-site Statistical Surveys
Statistics Korea "Data Analysis Without Worrying About Personal Information Exposure"
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Statistics Korea announced on the 23rd that it plans to utilize the 'Corona Movement Safety App' to enable surveyors to conduct statistical surveys safely in the COVID-19 environment.
Earlier, on January 21, Statistics Korea, Gyeonggi-do, and Seoul National University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the safe use and cooperation of data. The app has been in use in Gyeonggi-do and Seoul since this month.
The app allows users to quickly check whether there is a risk of contact by comparing the confirmed patient's movement path with the user's visited locations. It enables checking movement paths without concerns about personal information exposure, as it has technology that can analyze data in an encrypted state.
