Busan City has decided to expand the program that lends interview suits to job-seeking youth.
Busan City (Acting Mayor Lee Byung-jin) announced on the 23rd that it will expand the 'Dream Closet' program, which has been lending interview suits for free since the 19th.
Since 2018, the 'Dream Closet' program has been lending suits to job seekers aged 18 to 34 living in Busan.
The basic suit set includes jackets, skirts, pants, shirts, and blouses, and all accessories needed for interviews such as shoes, belts, and neckties are lent free of charge, making it one of the highly satisfactory youth employment support measures for job-seeking youth.
This service helps reduce the financial burden of youth preparing for employment and is gradually expanding to local governments nationwide.
Last year, 5,702 people used the service. Busan City has expanded the number of users to about 6,600 this year. The number of rental stores has also increased from two last year?Coaching (formerly Change Lady Busan branch) and Lee & Tailor (Bujeon-dong)?to five with the addition of Parkland Bugok branch, Gwangbok branch, and Deokcheon branch, making it easier to use.
To use the service, users make an online reservation 1 to 2 days before the interview. They can click 'Dream Closet' on the dedicated Dream Closet website or on the main page of Busan City's job search portal site 'Busan Job Information Network,' select the desired rental store, visit date, and time, and then visit the store on the scheduled day. Each person can use the service up to 5 times a year, and each rental period is 3 nights and 4 days, with returns to the rented store.
At the rental stores, users' body sizes are measured, and coordination consulting is provided, including recommendations on suit color, size, and design that suit the user's body type and workplace. Alteration services such as adjusting pants length are also available.
