AK Plaza Bundang Branch "Plenterior and Art Tech Stores Open... Continuing Experimental Attempts"
First Plantery Interior Edit Shop 'Garden Earth' Opens in Distribution Industry
New Concept Content Stores Including Seongsu Art Museum, Lily Cover, Gallery K, and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] AK Plaza Bundang Branch announced on the 23rd that it has been continuing experimental attempts to become a customer-oriented yet trendy department store. The plan is to discover new concept content that has rarely been seen in the distribution industry, collaborate on it, or retailize noteworthy ideas one after another.
AK Plaza Bundang Branch revealed that it opened the 'Garden Earth' store on the 3rd floor on the 19th. 'Garden Earth' is a curated shop first attempted in the distribution industry by 'Macho's Adolescence,' a plant interior creative group. 'Garden Earth' is a complex curated space that goes beyond simply selling plants; it includes a plant hotel for growing and caring for plants, various eco-friendly products, vegan cosmetics, and snacks.
On the 26th, 'Seongsu Art Museum' will open on the 2nd floor. Famous among the MZ generation for spaces like 'a place to try coloring yourself,' this location will be decorated by adding colors and designs suitable for the department store atmosphere to the existing brand concept.
In April, the big data-based personalized beauty brand 'Lily Cover' will open on the 2nd floor. 'Lily Cover' is a futuristic beauty brand that measures skin on-site using professional devices and instantly manufactures and sells lotion and essence within 2 minutes through a smart factory. Additionally, a popup of 'Gallery K,' which combines art and finance under the concept of art tech, is also planned.
AK Plaza Bundang Branch explained, "Since December last year, we have been reorganizing according to CEO Kim Jaecheon’s policy to provide 'daily premium' value from a customer-oriented perspective," adding, "We lowered the boundaries of movement lines and placed F&B stores throughout so customers can enter and stay without burden." On the 18th, a large Starbucks Reserve store opened. Tartine Bakery, known as one of San Francisco’s top three bakeries, also opened a branch.
