One Confirmed COVID-19 Case in Gwangju Related to Patients from Other Regions
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] One new COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to Gwangju City on the 22nd, as of 6 p.m. that day, one person was confirmed positive and classified as Gwangju case number 2187.
Gwangju case 2187, a resident of Dong-gu, was found to have had contact with Jeonnam case number 907, who is a confirmed case from another region.
The infection route of Jeonnam case 907 has not yet been identified.
Health authorities are tracking the movement path of Gwangju case 2187 and are thoroughly investigating whether there were additional contacts during the infection process.
In Gwangju, 1,054 people have been tested for COVID-19, and 605 are currently under self-quarantine.
