On the 19th, an online community post titled "Grandmother was bitten by a German Shepherd and dragged 10 meters. Please help" was uploaded.
The author stated, "A friend's grandmother was harmed by a fierce German Shepherd" and "I could not stand by and watch the terrible incident that happened to the grandmother, so I am writing this on her behalf."
He also shared several photos of the grandmother's bloodied wounds, explaining, "The injuries were so horrific that the photos of the damage were processed in black and white."
According to the author, the grandmother was bitten and dragged about 5 to 10 meters by a German Shepherd she encountered while returning home on a street in Gyeonggi Province last February.
Thanks to a witness who called an ambulance, the grandmother was urgently transported to the hospital.
The grandmother sustained wounds severe enough to expose the skin's fat layer all over her body.
The author reported, "The grandmother is currently undergoing full-body disinfection and treatment."
He added, "Due to this shocking accident, the grandmother has suffered both physical and mental trauma, showing signs of mental instability," and "The victim's family is also going through very difficult times."
He further stated, "As incidents involving fierce dogs are becoming more prominent, I believe clear measures must be established for dog owners," and "I earnestly ask dog owners to ensure proper care when taking their pets outside."
