On the same day, Kim Tae-nyeon, Acting Party Leader, said at the 'Task Force for Eradicating Public Officials' Speculation and Corruption,' "In light of the LH scandal, the public demands a fundamental solution to eradicate real estate speculation."
Kim, the Floor Leader, emphasized, "Speculation by public officials severely undermines the government's policy will to eliminate disruptive activities in the real estate market," adding, "We will establish a system to prevent disruptive activities in the real estate market on this occasion."
The Democratic Party specifically stated that among the five LH-related laws, three laws?the Special Act on Public Housing, the Korea Land and Housing Corporation Act, and the Public Officials Ethics Act?have passed the standing committee subcommittees, and only the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act and the Real Estate Transaction Act remain to pass the subcommittee stage, aiming for swift passage.

Jin Sun-mi, head of the 'Task Force for Eradicating Public Officials' Speculation and Corruption,' said, "We intend to announce fundamental measures within this month, including strictly detecting speculation, imposing severe penalties, and recovering several times the unfair profits gained," adding, "In the National Assembly, related standing committees such as the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, the Public Administration and Security Committee, the Political Affairs Committee, and the Judiciary Committee will fully mobilize to support the will to eradicate speculation through information."
