National Health Insurance Service Bukyeong Headquarters to Hold Seminar on Expanding Public Healthcare in Gyeongnam

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A seminar discussing ways to expand 'public healthcare' in Gyeongnam will be held.
The Busan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service (Head Jang Su-mok) announced on the 22nd that it will co-host the 'Gyeongsangnam-do Public Healthcare Diagnosis and Expansion Plan Seminar' with the Gyeongnam Provincial Council at the Gyeongnam Provincial Council's main conference room from 2 p.m. on the 25th.
Amid heightened public interest in public healthcare following the COVID-19 pandemic, the seminar aims to provide an important opportunity to assess the current status of public healthcare in Gyeongnam and discuss future directions.
The seminar will begin with presentations by Jeong Baek-geun, head of the Gyeongnam Public Health Medical Support Group, and Kim Jeong-hoe, director of the Research Coordination Cooperation Center at the National Health Insurance Service, followed by a discussion chaired by Hwang Su-hyun, director of Masan Medical Center.
Panelists include Shim Sang-dong, chairman of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council's Steering Committee; Choi Min-hyuk, head of the Public Health Medical Business Office at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital; Kang Su-dong, co-chair of the Western Gyeongnam Public Healthcare Expansion Public-Private Cooperation Committee; and Joo Cheol-in, head of Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, on-site attendance will be limited, but anyone can participate via a live broadcast on YouTube.
