Eunpyeong-gu Establishes 'Basic Plan for Creating a Child-Friendly City' Implementation Plan
Implementation Plan: 47 Detailed Tasks Led by 17 Departments Including Project Details, Promotion Plans, and Performance Indicators
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) has established the 2021 implementation plan according to the 1st Basic Plan for Creating a Child-Friendly City (2020?2023).
The Basic Plan for Creating a Child-Friendly City is the first long-term plan established in 2020 to advance to a higher level where a child-friendly environment is firmly established in the local community through a cyclical process of implementing and checking child-friendly city promotion tasks as detailed projects throughout the district administration. This year, a second-year short-term implementation plan was established to achieve the long-term goals of the basic plan.
This year’s implementation plan for creating a child-friendly city includes project details, promotion plans, and performance indicators for 47 detailed tasks promoted by 17 departments under the five major creation goals of health, safety, participation, education, and care, continuing from last year.
New projects following the establishment of the Child Protection Team include linking job experience activities to cultivate the independence of youth in child welfare facilities, enhancing child protection through the placement of human rights protection officers in child welfare facilities, as well as core projects such as fine dust reduction measures, youth participatory budgeting, and operation of youth participation organizations. Through the second-year implementation plan, Eunpyeong-gu’s child-friendly city creation projects will continue to be promoted.
The implementation status of the plan will be continuously monitored and reviewed at the end of the year to reflect the results in next year’s plan, and interdepartmental cooperation will be further strengthened to ensure that new projects are fully incorporated.
