According to Gyeongju City on the 21st, the Gyeongju Municipal Theater Company is filming a five-episode 'web drama' titled 'Gyeongju Woman,' with each episode lasting 7 to 8 minutes, until this month. This drama conveys the message of integrity that 'being good is not weak' through the story of a female public official who embraces her neighbors.
The web drama is scheduled to be released on Gyeongju City's YouTube and other SNS platforms in May. The screenplay was written by Kim Han-gil, artistic director of the Gyeongju Municipal Theater Company, and most of the actors are members of the theater troupe.
Director Kim said, "We are doing our best to ensure the completeness of the video, including recruiting Lee Sang-min, the general director who produced 'Warmer Than Expected,' which won the grand prize at the 2015 Jeonbuk Independent Film Festival, so you can look forward to it."
A Gyeongju City official said, "In a situation that could become even harsher due to COVID-19, we hope that by screening a warm story about looking back at neighbors through ontact, the warmth that overcomes COVID blues will spread throughout the local community."
Meanwhile, Gyeongju City (Mayor Ju Nak-young) distributed the textbook 'Integrity Han-in' as required reading to all employees at the New Year's ceremony in January, and this month, it is focusing on establishing a 'culture of integrity' by releasing a documentary-style UCC video produced directly by city hall employees on the theme of 'integrity.'
