Two Healthcare Workers in Denmark Develop Thrombosis Symptoms After AZ Vaccine... One Death Reported
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] On the 20th (local time), major foreign media reported that two healthcare workers in Denmark who received the AstraZeneca (AZ) COVID-19 vaccine showed symptoms of thrombosis and cerebral hemorrhage, and one of them died.
According to reports, the Danish health authorities confirmed this fact, stating that they received reports of two serious cases on the same day. Both individuals were within 14 days of vaccination, but specific information such as when symptoms began has not been disclosed. The other individual is also reported to be in poor condition.
This is the second case of death following AZ vaccination in Denmark. Earlier, on the 11th, Denmark announced that a 60-year-old woman who received the AZ vaccine in the country died after forming a blood clot, and as a preventive measure, the use of the vaccine was temporarily suspended for two weeks.
The authorities stated, "We will prioritize cases suspected of serious side effects and thoroughly investigate whether there is any association with the vaccine."
