Japan reports 1,517 new COVID-19 cases... State of emergency fully lifted from tomorrow

According to the local public broadcaster NHK's tally on the 21st, 1,517 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed across Japan the previous day.
Japan's daily COVID-19 cases have ranged from 1,133 to 1,533 between the 16th and 20th, following 695 cases recorded on the 15th.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases has risen to 456,459. COVID-19 deaths increased by 19 the previous day, bringing the total to 8,830.
The Japanese government decided on the 18th to lift the COVID-19 state of emergency declared in the Tokyo metropolitan area and other regions starting from the 22nd.
Japan's state of emergency includes measures such as refraining from going out, shortening restaurant operating hours, and expanding telework including working from home.
