Seoul National University Hospital Emergency Room to Normalize from Tomorrow: "All Medical Staff Test Negative"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The emergency room at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul, which was temporarily closed due to a COVID-19 confirmed case, is reopening.
According to Seoul National University Hospital on the 19th, from 8 a.m. on the 20th, all areas of the emergency room except for the Emergency Intensive Care Unit (EICU), where the COVID-19 confirmed patient was found, will resume normal operations.
A representative from Seoul National University Hospital explained, "On the 13th of this month, a patient admitted to the EICU tested positive for COVID-19. This patient was in the terminal stage, and the caregiver was first confirmed positive for COVID-19. During the epidemiological investigation, it was confirmed that the caregiver had visited the patient, so the patient was tested and found to be positive."
The patient had tested negative when first admitted through the emergency room on the 5th of this month but was confirmed positive 13 days later.

Seoul National University Hospital added that diagnostic tests were conducted on about 150 medical staff and employees who had contact with the patient, and all tested negative.
